    hi, question for you…going to trinity’s tomorrow for 4 nights with my dog…should i go to emerald lake via stuart fork? or canyon creek area?

      We’ve only done it on Canyon Creek and long ago that way to Emerald and Sapphire lakes. Really beautiful country and that route works. Not sure about the Stuart Fork. If you find out, let us know.

        hi, I ended up going into Canyon Creek and staying at the upper lake. It was sooo hot up there…probably 90 each day. The ranger in weaverville really recommended going into the Swift Creek Trailhead and hiking to Mumford Meadow and from there doing day hikes. I’ll try that next time i drive down from Portland. I also heard very very nice things about Granite Lake
